👻 Years went by without one of the greatest bands of all time, a kisbetűs ünnepnapok (lowercase holidays in Hungarian), celebrating their own lowercase holiday. It’s high time to fix this grave omission — on November 22, 2025, we’re taking over the small hall of Dürer Kert in an elevated, festive mood, with the help of Corneus. Nomen est omen. 👻

🧑‍🦲 lowercase holidays 🧑‍🦲 Three classmates from Újpest started the band back when they were barely teenagers, just playing at being musicians — but since then, they’ve explored more and more playgrounds. Their sound, rooted in Hungary’s alternative music traditions, draws from the freedom of the ’60s–’70s beat era, the sophistication and subtlety of jazz and Latin music, and even carries an unsettling touch of the 2000s. They channel the chaos of the 2020s into pure musical form.

As this year’s winners of the Hangfoglaló Induló Előadói Program, they returned to several major Hungarian festivals over the summer, including Művészetek Völgye, Fishing on Orfű, and Sziget. They’ve also twice opened for major acts on the Budapest Park stage.

🧑‍🦲 Corneus 🧑‍🦲 Formed through a special alignment of circumstances, Corneus may have been active for just over a year, but from the very beginning, it was clear that this project was going to work. In their first year, they played sold-out shows at Gödör, Turbina, and Három Holló, and on April 30, they released their debut album, AMFOTÉRIA.
