On January 8th at the Dürer Kert, emerging singer-songwriter Tímea Pászkány, performing under the name Csalogány, will premiere her third full-length album titled *Éjfél Hulló Gyöngyei*. This concert will mark the live debut of the Csalogány project's revamped band lineup. Additionally, the new album will be available on vinyl at the event.

Csalogány's music represents a truly unique world, blending avant-garde, dark folk, drone music, and traditional folk motifs in a special way. Her songs explore psychological themes, inner experiences, and emotional states, always ensuring that the listener not only understands them but experiences them as an emotional landscape. The central question is how the most hard-to-describe experiences unfolding within our souls can be shaped into sound. 

The project gained wider recognition at the Kikeltető talent show, and since then, she has released two full-length albums. Furthermore, her music video for *Peremvidék (F3160)* has garnered significant international attention. It won first place at the London Music Video Awards, took second place at the Berlin Music Video Awards, and was also selected for the Odense Film Festival.

MÖRK plays music rooted in soul and funk, offering listeners a unique musical experience through thought-provoking lyrics on social, psychological, and everyday themes, combined with improvisation and elements of other styles. The band’s album Still Dreamin’, released last year, was put out by the British label Albert’s Favourites. The sold-out album release concert on the A38 Ship also marked the end of MÖRK’s active career—the band subsequently went on hiatus and, with the exception of one or two special events each year, no longer performs live. One such occasion will take place on November 14 in the main hall of Dürer Kert, where they will once again perform songs from the album *You Are Free To Choose*, which turns 10 this year, and have many other surprises in store.

The concert is supported by the Performing Arts College of the National Cultural Fund (NKA).

To mark this special occasion, the band will play the album from start to finish, complemented by numerous popular and rarely heard hits from Kapuzárási Piknik and Legszebb éveink.

In the endless summer of 2016, Galaxisok began recording their third album, whilst life went on around them and the neon-lit nights faded into the distance. Following Benedek Szabó’s quasi-solo albums, this was the band’s first true, collaborative album, which they rehearsed in the Dürer rehearsal rooms - a place that has since become the stuff of legend - before recording the album in various rented flats with the help of sound engineer Dodi Lázár. Since its release in 2017, it has remained a true audience favourite and will celebrate its tenth anniversary next year. To mark this special occasion, the band will play the album from start to finish, complemented by numerous popular and rarely heard hits from _Kapuzárási Piknik_ and _Legszebb éveink_. The result is a collection of songs that paint a comprehensive picture of this way of life, and this will be even more evident in a live setting. On 15 October, on the stage at Dürer Kert, we’ll show everyone what’s going on inside us, as well as where our shared musical journey began.

Zuhanó Hónapok are a band from Budapest who dream of midwest emo but play more of an alter-emo style. The members are all linked by Eötvös József Grammar School, where they first met, but the band couldn’t form until after they’d finished school. Their music is characterised by the unconventional use of odd time signatures, the sudden insertion of blast beats in the most laid-back passages, the grotesque harmony of screaming and clean vocals, bass riffs, melancholy - that sort of thing.

The hearts of the audience will be won over by Kvaterka and Membrán, bands already well-versed in the subject.

Kvaterka: Danube-style chanson rock, coffee-house new wave. Kvaterka blends a synthesis of numerous genres into a cohesive concept. Their lyric-driven music has been heavily influenced by the 1980s Budapest underground scene and the work of the songwriting trio Cseh, Másik and Bereményi.


Membrán: The band members had been circling each other for years - their paths often crossing - until finally, last year, with a drummer heading south and a lead guitarist returning home, we came together under the name ‘Membrán’ in the melting pot at 30 Cserzy Mihály Street.
They play primarily in an alternative rock style, blending modern and classic indie elements. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers are just as influential to them as Quimby, and who doesn’t listen to the Arctic Monkeys?

Laibach was formed in 1980 in Trbovlje, Slovenia, and from the very beginning operated more as an artistic collective than a conventional band. Their music brings together industrial sounds, monumental choral arrangements, martial rhythms and classical music, while their work repeatedly explores questions of power, propaganda, ideology and mass culture. During the Yugoslav era, their provocative aesthetic led to them being banned in Slovenia, while albums such as Nova Akropola, Opus Dei, their reinterpretation of the Beatles’ Let It Be, Kapital, NATO, WAT and Volk, their reimagining of national anthems, established their international reputation. Their work deliberately appropriates and reinterprets existing cultural, political and musical elements, and in 1983 they coined and defined the term “retro-avant-garde.”

On May 1 this year, Laibach released their latest album, MUSICK, which simultaneously celebrates and critiques a contemporary culture increasingly shaped by AI, where the boundaries between reality and imitation are becoming increasingly blurred. Musically, the album also draws on contemporary pop, K-pop and ’90s Eurodance.

One of Hungary's defining alternative acts, Bin-Jip is coming to our stage.

Over the past twelve years, Hungarian music fans have come to know him primarily as the frontman of the band Mörk, as Mr. Zen, or as a regular guest with Random Trip; however, this year Márk Zentaï has redefined himself with his first solo album and a new band.
This new solo repertoire ranges from soul to progressive rock, but ahead of Bin-Jip’s return concert, we’ll also get to witness the band trying out a completely new, free-form improvisational concept.
Dominik Kosztolánszki, alias Dom Beats, will also be performing; he is a leading figure on the Hungarian jazz and hip-hop scene.

With their distinctive sound, Bin-Jip have been a key part of the Hungarian alternative music scene since 2010. Their debut album, *Enter*, won the award for Alternative Album of the Year at the 2011 Fonogram Awards, whilst their second studio album, *Heavy*, was released in December 2014; the album launch concert took place at MüPa in front of a full house.
In 2017, the line-up was revamped; the band performed as the support act for Thievery Corporation at Budapest Park, and have since been working on a new album, produced by Andrew J and Márton Szabó, with vocals by Viki Eszes.
The band’s guest artist is Sára Erdei.

On 27 November, ék will take to the stage once again, and the set list will feature several new songs, so the evening will not only be a retrospective of the band’s work to date, but also a glimpse into the direction ék is heading in now.

The Hungarian-American pop-punk singer CARI has never confined herself to any particular style, but her EP, released in September, is more experimental and varied than ever before: whilst retaining their pop-punk roots, the tracks venture into drum & bass, pop, rap and more classic rock sounds. On this evening, the entire “ments meg magamtól!” EP will finally be performed live, but of course there’ll be no shortage of her earlier tracks either, and we’ll get a little taste of what’s to come in her next era!

Two special guests will also be joining the line-up: sets from Foxriver and BAD SYSTEM will further enhance the evening’s entertainment!

The Hungarian-American singer CARI creates a unique sound by blending pop-punk, emo, dark pop and other alternative genres. She burst onto the Hungarian music scene in 2022 and has been creating non-stop ever since: her second EP, ‘ments meg magamtól!’, which pushes stylistic boundaries, was released in September, whilst she is actively working on her debut album and performing with her band at venues such as the A38 and Turbina. As a female artist, her aim is to fill a gap in the Hungarian alternative rock scene and to connect with listeners who draw strength from her music and lyrics, which convey profound themes and emotions.

Foxriver:
A modern metal sound, electronic elements, tight rock solos and catchy melodies - that’s Foxriver. The band is a five-piece from Budapest. Their debut album, *Embernek maradni*, was released on 8 May 2022, featuring nine tracks, and was self-released. Between 2022 and 2024, the band performed at Barba Negra alongside Counter Clockwise, at Dürer Kert’s small venue with NFR, and in the main hall as guests of the band FISH! The band has continued to forge ahead ever since: following a significant line-up change, they released their track ‘Sarkcsillag’ and a cover of beton.hofi’s ‘BAGIRA’ this year, whilst working on new songs.

BAD SYSTEM:
The weight of everyday life often bears down on us in silence, and there are times when, in an instant, we lose our footing. Yet it is these breaking points that hold the potential: this is where strength is born, when we realise that the real turning point begins within us. BAD SYSTEM’s music accompanies us on this inner journey, guiding us through the difficulties, recharging us with energy and giving us the momentum to rise again and carry on.

A hirdetési célú sütik alkalmazása az érintett hozzájárulásán alapul. Ezen sütik elhelyezését a felhasználó eszközein az érintett felhasználó maga beállíthatja, illetve azok elhelyezését a felhasználó a böngészője megfelelő beállításával meg tudja megakadályozni, illetve azokat a böngésző beállításoknál utólag is lehet törölni.
