The Hungarian-American pop-punk singer CARI has never confined herself to any particular style, but her EP, released in September, is more experimental and varied than ever before: whilst retaining their pop-punk roots, the tracks venture into drum & bass, pop, rap and more classic rock sounds. On this evening, the entire “ments meg magamtól!” EP will finally be performed live, but of course there’ll be no shortage of her earlier tracks either, and we’ll get a little taste of what’s to come in her next era!
Two special guests will also be joining the line-up: sets from Foxriver and BAD SYSTEM will further enhance the evening’s entertainment!

CARI:
The Hungarian-American singer CARI creates a unique sound by blending pop-punk, emo, dark pop and other alternative genres. She burst onto the Hungarian music scene in 2022 and has been creating non-stop ever since: her second EP, ‘ments meg magamtól!’, which pushes stylistic boundaries, was released in September, whilst she is actively working on her debut album and performing with her band at venues such as the A38 and Turbina. As a female artist, her aim is to fill a gap in the Hungarian alternative rock scene and to connect with listeners who draw strength from her music and lyrics, which convey profound themes and emotions.
Foxriver:
A modern metal sound, electronic elements, tight rock solos and catchy melodies - that’s Foxriver. The band is a five-piece from Budapest. Their debut album, Embernek maradni, was released on 8 May 2022, featuring nine tracks, and was self-released. Between 2022 and 2024, the band performed at Barba Negra alongside Counter Clockwise, at Dürer Kert’s small venue with NFR, and in the main hall as guests of the band FISH! The band has continued to forge ahead ever since: following a significant line-up change, they released their track ‘Sarkcsillag’ and a cover of beton.hofi’s ‘BAGIRA’ this year, whilst working on new songs.
BAD SYSTEM:
The weight of everyday life often bears down on us in silence, and there are times when, in an instant, we lose our footing. BAD SYSTEM’s music accompanies us on this inner journey, guiding us through the difficulties, recharging us with energy and giving us the momentum to rise again and carry on.
