Slow Rotation // Plug & Lay: Hanussen, Peter Bernath
Hanussen first appeared on the Budapest nightlife scene as a DJ around 2019. In the years leading up to that, he had been drawn to electronic dance music genres and the Budapest underground scene. At first, he played at small underground parties with friends; as a novice DJ, he mainly played deep house sets.
In 2022, he founded the Terra Kontra collective with his friends, which hosts a series of parties during the club season and a festival in the summer. Since then, he has continued to draw from various subgenres of house music for his sets, mostly incorporating elements of dub house, deep tech, minimal, and microhouse, as well as UKG and more classic house sounds, but he always strives to diversify his palette with other styles such as break, trance, and acid.
At the end of the 2022 festival season, he and his colleague Kozmo D launched their music concept called Blue Sun. Initially, they held listening sessions and curated a mix series, but they have since transformed the project into a record label.
