Selva Talks 6. 💥
In the latest installment of this lecture series, Dávid Somfai Kara, a research fellow at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Ethnography, will talk to us about his 2010 fieldwork among the Lakota, which he conducted on the Sičanghu (Rosebud) and Oglala (Pine Ridge/Wazi Ahanhan) reservations.
✨The lecture will cover Lakota folklore, which he experienced firsthand. He participated in the Sun Dance (wiwanyag-wacipi), the inipi ceremony, and vision quests (hanble-cheya).
We warmly welcome everyone interested!
