In the third part of our lecture series, we will follow the global journey of the ayahuasca brew. 🌱
The globalization of this sacred plant medicine can be examined from multiple perspectives. ✨
How are the traditional rituals and healing practices involving the plant transformed? What elements are adapted or incorporated to make the tradition shareable with others? Why are those particular elements chosen, and from where are they drawn? And how can such ancient knowledge be integrated into a completely different culture?
We will also discuss the Latin American and European subcultures that have emerged around ayahuasca today, the related religious movements, and how a tradition that is thousands of years old manages to survive in our modern age. ✨ Speakers: Vilma Főzy and Noémi Lipták
Due to the venue’s limited capacity, attendance is capped at 80 participants.
We warmly welcome everyone who is interested.
