THE EXHIBITION WILL BE ON DISPLAY BETWEEN 4 FEB - 3 MAR

Living in Sweden the multidisciplinary artist Daniel Hedin invites us into a visual laboratory of identity with his series Faces. Here, the human face - the central interface of self-image and emotional communication - is torn apart and reassembled, offering a fractured wholeness that challenges our understanding of presence and perception.
The works are built through collage, where fragments of different faces are layered, ripped. Through this technique, Hedin moves beyond aesthetic experimentation to explore the fragility and fluidity of identity and emotional multiplicity.

As an artist working across sound, live performance, poetry, dance, and visual arts, Hedin rejects the notion of fixed artistic identities. He views creation as a fluid motion through which we discover new ways of expressing what we need to survive and move forward. This belief is deeply embedded in Faces, where each torn portrait embodies inner movement, transformation, and contradiction.

Daniel has participated in numerous international exhibitions and led workshops at events such as Mumush, S.U.N., and Sziget Festival.

His art creates space for self-expression beyond conventional categories — as both a personal process and a collective strategy for resilience.
The portraits in Faces are not depictions of individuals - they are states of being. Emotional composites that show rage, vulnerability, curiosity, or unease in the same face. They do not offer unity, but rather truthfulness in fragmentation. These faces, in their disrupted form, speak with more honesty than any seamless image ever could.
